VENATOR FOUNDERS FUND is a North American long/short equity strategy which strives to capitalize on exceptional investment opportunities. The Fund focuses on business fundamentals with a bottom-up investment approach in order to identify high growth companies that are undiscovered (or unappreciated) by the market; as well as out of favour companies trading at low valuations that do not reflect ‘hidden assets’, intermediate business prospects, reversing business trends, or changing managerial philosophies.
Please Note: Fund performance data is net of fees, however, it is not indicative of future performance, and should not be relied upon when evaluating the merits of a potential investment in the Fund. Performance data relating to market indices such as the S&P/TSX total return, the S&P 500 total return, the Russell 2000, the S&P Toronto Small Cap index, and the Merrill Lynch high yield index have been provided for information purposes only. A comparison of Fund performance to said indices is of limited use due to factors such as portfolio concentration and the potential use of leverage in the Fund.
The Venator Hedge Funds may only be purchased by accredited investors with a medium-to-high risk tolerance seeking long-term capital gains. Commissions, trailing commissions, management fees and other expenses all may be associated with investing in any of the Venator Alternative Mutual Funds. Please read the prospectus and Fund Facts relating to each Alternative Mutual Fund before investing. The indicated rates of return of the Venator Alternative Mutual Funds are the historical annual compounded total returns, including changes in share or unit value and the reinvestment of all dividends or distributions, and do not take into account sales, redemption, distribution or optional charges or income taxes payable by any securityholder that would have reduced returns. Mutual funds are not guaranteed, their values change frequently, and past performance may not be repeated.
